Fort St james 7-26

Hi

I've got my first LEH moose draw this year its for 7-26 in fort st james

And has anyone hunted up there!

Just wondering if there is better areas then others and
How the road access up there?
Im just looking for any information on this area would be great

We had great sucess in 7-26. several years produced several nice bulls. Head west on Tachie Road above Stuart Lake for about 20 minutes to 1/2 hour out of FT ST James. Turn right on Leo Creek Road (it's a very obvious turn off). We camped approx. at the 35km mark on a well maintained road. From there several lakes and numerous backroads branch out every where.One point of caution: watch out for the local native population, they will try to run you off the road if you are on atv.The last time we were there however was 3-4 years ago and there was a huge winter kill, the snow was deep and the wolves picked them off in large numbers. We had two cow draws and out of 4 of us, never saw any cows or bulls until we got an immy on nineth day. I still want to go back there soon but this years bison draw dictates we go to Sikanni Cheif.
