I lobe having a job that allows me the oppurtunity to go fishing when ever I want.

Happened last Tuesady and now again this morning. I wake up early and have this feeling that I should go fishing.

We leave the dock at 6 and head out, drop a crab trap and go to "where the fish are"

Rods in the water and the sun is coming up

Soon the port rod bounces and my buddy has his biggest fish to date, a beauty smiley.

Soon after that, the fog rolls in

for the next couple hours pinks and socks make it to the boat, plus a few springs that manage to evade the net and live to swim another day.

As we deciding to head in the starboard rod pops off the DR and the fight is on. This guy does not want to come in, but soon another spring lies beside the first one. Another smiley.

Before we know it, it is time to return to regular life. A quick check of the trap results in two keepers, one of which is returned to grow some pincers.

Off to the Wild West Coast tomorrow....stay tuned.

Cheers

Great post ! So, a guy just needs to be everywhere , eh? North, with a jet boat and argo, maybe a few quads. Kootenays with horses, over to Kamloops with the sheep draw or the island for a Rosie, the West Kootenays where the Monster Bull Elk greet you from every garden. Oh yeah, GPS, Range finder, Spot, handheld radio, satellite phone, 4x4, mobile cooler, spotting scope , binos, wall tents,.... oops ! Back to reality, good to see you taking advantage of the opportunities that come your way.
