Just wondering about getting a bipod or shooting stick for my wife. How many people out there carry a shooting stick or bipod with them when they go hunting for deer family animals.

They both have their limits, I prefer sticks over a bi-pod. To me a bipod can limit your shooting positions plus it adds extra weight and to me they ruin the look of a nice rifle. The problem with sticks is you have to carry them.

I use my bipod on and off, not a fan of sticks i carry enough. While I'm hunting if I don't have to rifle is never on my shoulder.

I don't use either and sometimes just use a tree.

I tried a shooting stick and it sucked. If you get one make sure it has at least two legs.

I say it every time that this question comes up, I have a Snipepod Bipod and LOVE it....6 ounces, and extremely functional to use in all positions.

I use a 2 leg shooting stick for sitting/kneeling height. I rarely have hunted without it since about 2002

Up north I've found bipods to be too short and packing sticks is just on more thing to pack ...not that they weight very much but just one more thing in a already full back pack. I just use my spotting scope and tripod..........turn the scope side ways and it makes a perfect rest for your gun and is fully adjustable to any height that you may need. They also make a little V shaped adapter that screws on in stead of your spotting scope if you want.
