Are all the early, successful Stones hunters shy? Held one 39" in my hands....still hoping he'll post it up....anyone else? What's going on out there?

They are all scared that the peanut gallery of experts on HBC will accuse them of killing a sheep that was too young, too short or both....MANY good rams never get posted on here, who needs the abuse?

i took a 38 1/2 " stone and my partner a 36 " out of a couple different bands of rams so we're happy campers, with taxidermy bills.

One of my hunting partners shot a 35" stone with 15 3/4" bases. 9 mile walk, my feet are still smashed. First heavily broomed sheep I've been in on. Good times.

wow good bases my ram had 14" bases and i thought that was decent. little easier walking out w/ a ram on back though.....

Yah, the damn sheep had over 14" at the D2 measurement spot.

165 4/8. Thats being ultra conservative with the measurements.

Ok I guess I will be the first, this is my hunting partners ram that was shot on the 2nd. I was not fortunate enough to get my own, as we had to pull out because of the heat/meat spoilage issues. but I am more than happy to have been part of this successeful hunt. Im not sure of the exact messurments, but it none the least is a nice wide ram.
I have cropped out his face etc so that he can stay unknown.

A couple more, including the ram that we never got to see from the side, he gave me the slip on three different occassions.

My girl friend took a nice heavy stone sheep aug 3rd 38.5x 37 nice and heavy flares out real nice too, you will have to wait for a story in the wild sheep mag or maybe see it at the kammy sheep show! seeing as this is her second ram i would say she has a horse shoe stuck some where not so nice!

36 7/8 for me and 37 1/2 for my pal. Day ONE drive to "Dease"...Day TWO shot both on the hike-in...Day THREE all packed up & happy...Day FOUR drive home. Got home a few nights ago and am sad to report I lost no weight. In fact I think I gained a pound.

Good for you two connecting now how about some pictures and your story ????.

I know why you did not loose weight its because you where in and out and did not have to walk for days on end looking for your sheep.

It happens this way sometimes and I guess you can say LUCK was on your side ,some years you go for ever looking for a sheep and then some years you get lucky and shoot them right away Its called having a little LUCK on your side ,looking forward to your story and pictures http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon7.gif..
