I might be heading up that way for a week long hunt in august and was wondering if anyone could possibly point me in the right direction for moose in the area. This might be my last hunt in BC for awhile as i might be moving so im hoping to make it a good trip and any info is greatly appreciated.

Spin around in a circle a couple of times then stop. Head in the direction you're pointing and look for moose.
Seriously, head North of FSJ an hour or so, find a FSR and head into the bush. That's what we did years ago and we still go to the same spot.

It's kinda tough getting people to give any info on the the hot spots. I'm heading up to that area on aug 12 for my first time as well so I wish you luck.

Now this the first post thats worth reading. If you want to hunt Chetwynd area. Check out the Del Rio or head south to Tumbler.or out towards Moberly LK. I let my Brother drive and I just shoot'em from the passenger window..

Still debating whether I'm even going to head out. This weather is crazy.

Better hope you drop it in the evening so you can work all night and get it out and to a freezer in the am.

I personaly think that hunters wishing to hunt need to do there homework!, yes it is eaier to just ask on this website but come on! go out and buy a back roads mapbook look at it and find some area's you think might be good, then ask about those area's. I don't mind helping fellow hunters out but there needs to be some sort of effort put forward.
There are plenty of moose in FSJ so find a fsr and do some hiking around look for signs and wammo you will get your moose and hopefully the weather is not too warm.

Godd luck.

Only 24 to day so not many moose would have spoiled.
