Just wondering if I was reading this correctly as this is only my second year hunting in this province and firguring out the regs etc... but Antlerless and Spike are GOS in 4-23 and a few others starting Sept 10? no draw needed

*4-3 Zone X, **4-6 Zone C, ***4-23 Zone A ▲Spike Bulls Sept 10 - Sept 19

Senior/Youth▼ ***4-23 Zone A Antlerless Sept 10 - Sept 30

These are your only options in 4-23 other than 6pt+ and bow season. But since you said the 10th i assume you mean rifle season.

Note Antlerless in 4-23 is senior/ youth only. So unless you are a senior or a youth you only get Spike bulls in the specific area of 4-23 zone "A".
not in all of 4-23

map at http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/fw/wildlife/hunting/resident/elk1100m.html

so after the smoke clears and you know where zone A is after the 10th you can go there with a regular elk tag and shoot a spike bull

thought they made those zones for LEH...

Originally they did, now it is the boundary to target "homesteader elk"

I was misreading the regs it seems. What dates would the LEH hunts in 4-23 be then? Just curious

No problem, Some times the regs can be a boar to understand!
and some times there can be crazy guys in the bush...

Good luck happy hunting
