Skagit River Camping

well I was thinking heading up the skagit river on tuesday afternoon and do a little fishing then spend the night do a little camping any one recomend a area to camp up there close to the river. I have only been up there once around i think it called the 22 mile day use area. These would be the genatral area I would be going. I was also pondering the thought of putting the back pack on with the tent and some over night supplie and fish along the river and when it get dark pitch camp get up in the morning and fish all the way back to truck any one know a good starting point for that

most people just camp along the river outside of the park. You'll see the spots. Just remember to be careful what you leave behind in your vehicle or camp. Lots of jibber-heads cruising up and down that road and there have been break ins

Recommend making the trip all the way out to Ross lake-waters warm, and the camping sites are awesome.
