Little hook through the plate on their shoulders and let them swim.A wee drop of Crazy glue works great too.If you catch a bunch of hoppers keep them in the fridge, the cold slows them down some.Pisses off the wife though.

do you want it to be calm out or can you fish in windy days because around here it seems the wind just wont stop.

i have caught some nice rainbows on okanagan lake with grasshoppers. I find the mouth of creeks and rivers works great.

Don't know about Okanagan lake , but hoppers are hot on the back eddies of Columbia & Kootenay rivers. Creek mouths, as mentioned, is a good bet - use'em behind a bobber about three to four feet.

You can fish Grasshooper Patterns anywhere that there are grasshoppers. Iv successfully used the patterns in all weather conditions.

No bait ban. My dad always told me that hoppers were hands-down the best bait for Ok Lake. I'm 5 minutes from the lake and have never tried it. :?

Rainbow trout daily quota = 2 (only one over 50 cm)
Single barbless hook
