Any of you guys that have trailers you tow with your ATV, can you post pictures please?

I'd like to have a look at some of the contraptions out there and get some
ideas. See if building one myself is feasable.

I don't have pics of my friends trailer but it's a side and or rear load. Basicly a flat deck with a one inch round pipe around perimiter adout 6 inches higher than the deck. the ramps have hooks in one the end so you could hook them anywhere on the one inch pipe. I think his is 7' wide and 8' long. It fits 2 quads side ways nice and snug. Having the round bar gives you lots of areas to tie down and would stop them from rolling off if your straps broke. once there in there they don't even roll around as the wheels are between the round pipe. Great little trailer. I'll see if I can get the specs of it. But I think his dad has it?

What ever you do, don't convert some 1970's era tent trailer, it will be a one way trip LOL

Canuck. That first one looks like a wagon or are the wheels just set at the rear? Nice colour. Tremclad green.

Second one almost looks like it could be a sled. Good for skidding over logs or snow.

Any more?

It is the best one I have right now. It is the smaller red trailer on the larger one. It is 4' x 6', has spindles instead of an axle through the middle. The reach is telescopic, so it can be short for hunting, or longer so you can strap a 14' boat on it. I am having another one made as we speak, only a little wider and a little closer to the ground. Hauls out critters full size, and can be loaded with one person with a winch or come-along. I will try to get better pics. Moosin

Hmmm I had a buddy build me one a few years ago..made it "dump" and sliding tail gate so it opens up......he took the metal and had a company bend the 2 sides from 1 piece each so its really strong and no welds to crack..

I will post some photos tomorrow

The first one is built on the wagon frame from Princess Auto...the amazing thing about that wagon was watching it going through waterbars and ditches where the culverts were removed.

The second one has the skiis and wheel barrow tires mounted underneath, you can just see the one wheel if you look close, it's packed over 1000lbs of moose in one trip also. If you blow a tire [which I do often on it] you just drag it home on the skiis!!

Another angle.....

Hubby built our quad trailer from our unused lawn tractor trailer. he raised it and added bigger tires. Turf tires I think they were. He also got rid of the drop pin hook up and put a ball type hook up on it. We replaced the rotting tail gate with a light guage checker plate one. We haven't hauled any game in it as of yet, haven't been that lucky yet, lol. But we do find it great for going out for fire wood. Also great for the dog.

We had lots of fun painting it with our own camo design. Simply got a few cans of camo type colour spray paint and then gathered leaves and ferns from the yard and layed them on the body and sprayed over them.

That's a pretty serious trailer. Looks like there is a side panel or ramp laying on top of the Moose in one of the pics.
ps: thanks for posting..Looks like you're having no problem finding the Mooses.

ya theres a ramp to skid the moose up. it is a heavy trailer, but very very stable being tandem axle. we've modded it a bit so far, like tapering the front and back.

Nice work. The price is right. Paid for your welder (or a good portion of it) with the money you saved by building your own. Thanks for showing it.

Thanks Bob.
Thats actualy pretty close to what I want. Tandem axle. I'd like mine to use the same rims and tire size as my quad. This way I'm always traveling with at least two spare tires. (or 4 if I leave the trailer in the bush).

Here's mine. Can be taken apart with only pins. My Argo winch is detachable and can be moved to the top of the trailer and you just winch your moose in the back. High ground clearance, walking beam and load bearing tailgate.

I built this one last year. It has a walking beam axle and a tongue that extends with a neck brace for moose. The tongue will also compress to the length of the box for easy storage. The ATV tires on the trailer match the ATV to act as spares if needed.
