Nice whitey the size of the body in the first photo makes the head and rack look small in comparison. What did he weigh in at if you don't mind. 3

Jealosy is a terrible thing. I'm trying to curb it as much as possible, but that mount almost pushes me over the edge! Beautifully mounted. Thanks for sharing.

This deer was taken in Central Alberta in November 2009. He weighed in at 320 lbs and was with 9 does at the time of his demise.

I was shooting a Browning lever action 325 with 180 gr bullets. The first shot from 150yrd went in and clipped the bottom of both lungs and broke the ribs on the far side. The follow up shot was to the boiler room as he was trying to escape from a brush row about 250 yrds from the original shot.

On this trip I saw about 10 different 4pt muleys and lots of smaller bucks. The place seemed to be overrun with muleys. As for the whitetail they were just as many but seemed to be in certains areas rather than just anywhere. I saw lots of smaller 120 class whiteys and one nice 145 class that was across a small creek on private land. Definetly a trip that I will be doing again.

As it turned out my cousin found that nice buck shorly after I headed home.

Okay the pics are up,

Ray truly did a fantastic job with this deer. He was a pleasure to deal with and make me feel at ease, this was my first mount, truly a professional and I wouldnt hesitate to take Ray any future animals.

That is sure a nice looking deer buddy. I would like to hear how the rest of the house enjoys it. Ha Ha Ha.
May be one day you'll shoot a big one - that is not in the family farm. LOL

Ahh yes. Living in a house with 3 women the deer was not well recieved. I think they were in fact shocked that it had "body". But alas, it is where it belongs. On the wall in the bedroom. lol

Also the family farm is massive, you could hunt all week in a different section every day and still not see the same deer twice. Trust me buddy, you should join me next year.

Derek; Have you had this fella scored? Not that I believe that there's a 'race'.... I just like to know how different horns measure up.

As for classy,,,, You'd be hard pressed to find better, IMO. Me Likes!
And I hope that I cleared all my slobber stains of of him.

Congrats!

Nice Whitey Derek !! Congrats.
I kinda figured the background looked like around home here!!
Now you have to get your Muley draw priority points up here so on your next hunt you can shoot one to go beside this guy.

You can tell it's a high quality mount because even the deer is smiling. Awesome looking buck, congrats.

Farmer, the greatest inside spread is 21 inches.

Mr Dean, I had the deer roughed scored while we were celebrating with beers and he came out to about 135. Not a great scoring whitey, but a great big body and lots of character.

Springer, not far from you at all. In fact maybe only 60kms north and a touch east. Working on the priority points and a landowners tag so you never know what will happen in the years to come.
Something drastic has to happen to keep me away from there this year.

Hey, a 320# whitetailed deer, is a PIG! When I 1st saw the mount, I couldn't believe what I was seeing [literally].... I'm only used to seeing Muleys that size and wondered if Ray was trying to pull a 'fast one'.

Good eat'er? I've had smaller on the platter (1 buck and a couple does)and IMO, WT is one of the better game-dishes out there; sweet-n-tender.

I truly think you lucked out on this fella; If it were only MINE.
