im up in oliver at my fathers place, im ruger#1, went out looking for turkeys and to pan some gold, this is what we found, water was to high for panning, no turkeys, 9 whitetails, 7 mulies , lots of elk crap and no elk, 1 male pheasant and 4 hens, lots of quail, and a little rain.i would say it was a good morning. I was out today also looking for bears. Drove down the 201 then up the r200, couldn't believe the amount of white tails around. Seen alot of grouse also, but no bears. I also tried up ok falls dump road. Same thing lots of white tails but no bears.

I was surprised to see how little snow was left up top.

It's still a little early in our neck of the woods as well. (Vernon, Lumby) Was out yesterday and besides well over 100 deer, mostly mulies and a few whitetails, no sightings of yogi or even fresh sign of this years bear scat.
