My dad and i keep tossing around the idea of going for a antelope hunt one of these days. I was wondering if anyone could give me any information on either alberta or wyoming antelope hunting and how i would go about entering LEH systems etc. We would prefer a non-guided hunt on either private or public land. Any information would be awsome as im not even sure where to start. Thanks

If you are interested in hunting here in Alberta, the first thing you need to do is apply for a Alberta WIN (Wildlife Ientification Number). You can do that online at https://www.albertarelm.com/. Non resident canadians are allowed to apply for certain alberta draw tags (Unlike BC were only residents are allowed), antelope included, however the only catch is you have to apply with a resident. Our draws work on a priority ststem, not a lottery so you will likely have to apply 5-8 years, depending on which area, before you get a tag. Once you get a tag you have to hunt with a hunter host (similar to your "Accompany to Hunt") and he must be a alberta resident that has a valid hunting license.

Here are 2 I got.

It'll be close to 6 years in alberta and you need a host, try to contact montana fish & game i hear this is a cheap option and plenty of antelope to go around.

I would read up more on how to do it in the states. I think the draw date is in march though. Also you dont need a hunter host. And there is more public land. I plan on applying for next year with a friend who has done 3 hunts down there. He has been successful all three times. Plenty of them pests down there.
