Just a 7x7 and a measily 10x7 that probably goes over 400"...no big deal...

I don't know, they look alright to me. But keep looking for some big ones. at least you will have something to fall back on if you get desperate.

Serioulsy? Your are second guessing me? I was less than 10 yards from these bulls!

Count again...the first elk clearly has 7 points on the left side and you can see 6 on the other side (the 7th is only a small split at the back which is not fully developed).

The other bull clearly has 7 visible points on the side closest to the camera (if you knew elk anlter configurations at all you would know they have two brow tines...the lowest one is not fully visible at that angle). The other two are small non-typical points that are only about 1.5-2" long, one is on one of the brow tines and the other is on the G5 I believe....sheesh...

Curious why it even matters if you see it differently? Obviously it means something as you felt then need to bring it up? I watched this bull for 5 minutes and got a very good look at him from all angles and he is a clear 10x7..not that it matters though right?

Are you sure it was 5 minutes, could it have been 4 minutes 26 seconds  . What knobs.

Well I can't say for sure ...from that 5 minutes some was spent watching the larger bull and some was spent watching the smaller bull...more time was spent on the larger bull obviously

If I had to be precise (which apprently I do), I would say 3mins and 50 seconds watching the larger bull and 2 minutes and 10 seconds watching the smaller bull ...oops I guess I am in fact wrong and it was actually 6 mins......there goes all my credibility...

To end the debate and hopefully keep other know-it-alls from piping up I will concede that these are in fact Jasper Bulls, spotted just a couple of clicks east of the western boundary on Highway 16. Also saw about two dozen sheep including a couple of dandy rams but didn't pull out the camera on them due to an overabundance of tourists already harrasing them.
