White tailed deer in lower mainland

I was having a discussion with a friend about whities in the Chilliwack river valley. He swears that he recently saw some. Myself I have a hard time believing it. Has any one definitively seen any white tailed deer west of Hope that are not from Herrling island?

They have been spotted in Pemberton and Squamish, 100% for sure...

Never. I can't see there's any down here. I've fished Herrling a few times and never seen any there either??

If my memory serves me correct, I have seen a few while in my boat spring and Sockeye fishing, saw a nice 4 pointer one day when cutting through a channel between 2 islands. This was at least 4 years ago so there must be more of them by now ?????

I was very sure i saw two in Golden Ears Park about 4 years ago.
