Should see mule deer and moose....by the duzoooonz ...
Bring camera,
Jel .. moose country galore .. grouse, deer, black bear .. mule deer tag and moose tag ..
Fishing too, silver kamloops trout. It's a hunters dream, lakes, streams and moose meadows ..
Not far from HWY 24 which is good road .. called the Fishermens Highway ..

Try the Wavey Lake fsr. It starts off in 5-1 but it goes into 3-39. I have google earth'd the area and it looks promising. I have never hunted this area though.

Don't know when they rut but go before Thanksgiving weekend because the bush gets pounded hard and animals get more spooky. Late September or early October is when i would go.

Bring a .22 and a brick of ammo, that road has the most gophers I have ever seen in my life! Totally infested!

As for moose, anywhere off hwy 24 is fairly good moose habitat!

Deer lake area is good for Moose and Muley. You and a million other hunters will enjoy the outdoors and all the fellow hunters from Vancouver.

For someone who is always harping on people to read the regs, maybe you should do just that. Would hate to see ya loose your hunting licence for 5 years over a stupid rodent.

I have fished a lot in that area . Also hunted for the mulies . Know off all the lakes you have mentioned and popcorn is a bit of a joke . There are lots of de activated rds and some with big gates . Can be busy at deer lake for camping . Lots of big cutblocks . With rolling hills so you never know whats on the other side . lol . Good luck . And if you want any info just pm me . ps I am a rookie hunter but willing to help .

Now once on Hwy 24 take the km's from the junction. Start measuring the distance on your road map.
