heading to fort st john for august 15 opening ,been to redfern in october wondering wheres a good place to start out in august

Get off the beaten path a scout around some 5-6 yr old cutblocks with water (creeks) and shade nearby. Walk the bush during the day looking for fresh sign. Sit on edge of promising cutblocks with good vantage point in the evening. Poke into promising blocks at first light. Keep your head down, it turns into a zoo up there on the 15th.
