Seen this bird twice now. He was standing on the road, but by the time I got my camera ready he made his way into the sticks. Never seen one quite like it before. About 2 to 3 times the size of an average grouse, likes to stick out his chest and fan his tail, a little bit of red on his wing and a yellow top. Has a short flight and pretty much acts like any grouse or chicken I've ever seen.

Thanks folks!! I guess I have never seen a blue grouse before. I guess I'm used to seeing spruce and ruffed grouses.

It appears that someone thinks he is real special.
Blacktail Stalker, do a lot of your posts on here just come off badly, or are you really that conceited in real life?
