Probably not in town. But definitley around somwhere. Might be a color phase bear too.

Not a well known Grizz area, but they are around . I would bet there are quite a few in the hills east of town, and probably the odd one to the west .

they are around kelowna and vernon not a whole lott tho but there there

They are on both sides of the lake in Kelowna, lots around big white and christian valley!!!
Why would penticton be any different??

Never saw one or evidence of one in the 26 years that I lived there, I used to haunt the Ashnola, Venner Meadows, Carmi, Chute Lake, Bridesville/Mount Baldy area to name a few. Never saw one in the Greystokes area either, but did see sign there, like tracks and poop (with bells:-D).
Now, having said that, my son saw one in the Arawana area above Naramata a few years back.

I saw a Grizzly bears way up in the backend of the whipsaw 8-5 about 10 years ago ,they are there don't kid yourself :wink:..

i ran into one near naramata 2 years ago.... she was small... but she was still a grizz

One of my CO friends relocated a grizz from Naramata to the North Grandby after it was tearing up irrigation pipes. He shot it back in Naramata a few months later. :?

There are grizz, and getting to be more, in the whole Okanagan.

I seen a big grizzly on top of a deer kill a couple of years ago up on three forks road near the greystokes.

if they are around whipsaw then i suppose they would be in the sunday summit area then too??

i saw a mama and her 2 yoots on the shore of aberdeen lake back in 1993 when i lived in vernon.
