I finally located the leak in my neoprene Cabela's chest waders. It's a nice gash near the seam. Looks like I need a patch, not just a dab of glue.

What's the best solution to fix these? Where can I get patch material and the right glue in the Vancouver area?

most fishing shops should have neoprene patch kits.

bike tire patches work. Dental floss and gobbs of aqua seal work as well.
But the shop will have proper patches.

As well if you hang up your waders until totally dry and fill them with water you will find leaks easy. Then you just mark them and patch when dry.

Thanks 835. I hung 'em and filled 'em yesterday, that's why I'm asking the question today.

Get some breathables.

I've always wanted to get a breathable set but pricey.......and then there is the "what if I tear them cost". Bet it's more than neoprene to fix a leak.

AquaSeal or marine Goop has got me through another year. Adheres well and stays flexible

Go to a dive-shop and consult them. It might require a backing patch as well as the Aqua-Seal in order to repair the leak.
