Hey all, I'm new to posting but I have been reading for a little while now. Just wondering what your most "rare" animal you have taken is? The kind that it might never happen or see one again?

A cougar while deer hunting for me. Might not be so rare for some but might never happen again for me.

Hmmmm..... Bit of a strange question for somebodies first post.
This is a bit of a weird question. If it's that rare it's probably something you shouldn't be shooting. If it's rare for your particular area then that is something else. So far I haven't shot anything rare just deer, bears, ducks and geese. No shortage or rareness of those things around.

Wolvarine I guess, although I've taken more than one so it could happen again.

If I ever get a moose draw and get a moose or an immy that would be rare for me.

Seriously
For me it is a pure white wolf. Seen 14 once at Neston lake, but I have only seen one other and shot it. It has no other colour, its pure white.
That will be a rare one for me.
Also, I guided this moose and to the hunter, it is a one in a million, with a third antler growing out of its skull. He has it skull mounted on a plaque.

These are rare animals to me.

I think that might be a bob cat, if that is a lynx it is a young one
It is a young female lynx.

The first animal I ever shot was a 7' 2" black bear which as far as im concerned is a rare one. They just dont grow that big that much for a spring bear. It been all down hill since then
I really wish I had the time to spend hunting other trophy's though.......

Nice all your fellas stuff sounds pretty cool. I got a chocolate black bear, first bear I took. I also shot a antlered doe, or udder'd buck, or doe-buck or duck if you like. That was quite a surprise.

A pack rat and I hate them ..
Came across a Mountain or Sewellel Beaver while Bear hunting up on the Jordan River. I had heard of them but this was the first one that I had ever seen. They are a Blue listed species here but down south, Washington St. they are considered a pest.

Side hill gowjer for me near Clearwater BC. One side of it's body had longer legs from walking on sidehills. Head like a cat and a body like a English staffashire dog with a long tail, like that of a miniture horse, cloven hoofed and a smell like a skunky musky odor. It's eyes shone like lasers in the early morning light. It's hide was a browny orange color with faint black vertical stripes. I'll never forget it as long as I live, I buried it because the world would not be ready to see this.
Jel .. I'll never forget this as long as I live, I still can't sleep at night, the nightmares .. it's eyes omg
thanks for that, I had to tell someone.
