first post of my career!! :) lol anyway, just got my authorization for antlerless elk for zone 4-03 along with my brother and father. wondering if anyone could give me any hintsa or tips on where some decent spots are that wont get to crowded, seeing as how i have only hunted elk once here before and was unsuccessful. thanks :) im also wondering if anyone knows if you will be able to buy bull elk tags?

Have you got restrictions in the MU 4-03 draw or is it the whole dang MU that you can hunt, any elevation and what's the date window?

Im not an elk hunter (yet), but I did stay at a Holiday inn express last night.

Find the poo, find the elk :wink:

If me I would hunt the lower part of Bloom Creek this road starts near the lake of Lake Koocanusa and heads in toward the west..

Its about one hour from Cranbrook and this road is on the west side of the lake..

You can hunt below the bloom creek lower down in elevation..

He could hunt the Linklater as it should be lower down, but then there's no elk in the Kootenays anyway.
