Which animal is most consuming your thoughts and dreams for this year? Some of us got cool draws and some didn't even put in. Now that spring bear is nearly over, what are you thinking about? Some people it's one animal for most of their lives. What's on your mind this year and Why do you want it?

Mine is a big bull bison. Because I don't expect to get the leh again soon.

Bison, and since Moose / Elk / Deer and bear are open any of these would be a nice addition

got a permit in a bow only zone here in the Yukon for dall sheep and would like 1 that scores more than the current world record of 171. The area is capable of that class I just hope I am....and that's my number 1 animal this year. As you can see I'm not asking for much.

For me it would be a Stone ram....... might happen this year but who know's if I'll be able to go. Main goal of this year will be to have my Dad finally take a Cougar under my hounds. We've done almost everything else but this one would really make my year.

4 point blacktail!

I have an east kootenay trip planned for moose, elk and deer. but it will always be big blacktails! anything bigger than the year before. if you set the bar low, you'll never be disapointed :) JK

also, excited about taking my first blackie. I'm keeping the bar high on this one as i already let a 6' + bear earlier :S , not going to settle for anything less.

I've always wanted to hunt & shoot a mulie, so I better get in shape and maybe get an area picked out.

Never really have a single target.
I have a goat LEH I hope to be successful on.
Hopefully get my stone (third attempt)
Hopefully get after rocky mountain elk like most years, always looking for a "big" one there but if its a 6 it dies so 340"or 240" I dont really care, its the hunt I go back for year after year. We love elk meat.
Chance at a big mulie is always in the cards on all of the above and in the back of my mind.
Every year I want a big blacktail... some years get one some years dont.Never get too wound up about it anymore after that ******* PG66 started posting those toads that make ours look like pigmy stick head deer
Would LOVE a poke at a freak nasty coastal one day.
A good friend has an archery roosevelt draw in my backyard, really, that is the best part of my fall and I hope to help him succeed. That will be satisfaction in itself. 2 others want/need help and I will do what I can so the thought of seeing more than one of those beasts hit the ground this fall is exciting.
MRC; sorry, he's already tethered to a tree ;)
Always tree lots of bears/cougars so there will be more of the same as far as that goes.. Maybe tree "the one" for myself ? Thats always a fun option but not a 'goal'.
Like to get my brother a cougar though.
Actually if I get one hunt with my brother that would be the highlight of my season as 3 years straight now it hasnt worked out for timing where we could both go on one.
Likely take a lynx and bobcat this winter if I make it out for them, looking forward to that, those crafty little stub tails.
Same buddy with the archery elk has a late season moose so should I be on that hunt it'll be a mulie/moose/kitty combo hunt.

Other than that, I'll just be hunting, nothing out of the norm really

There will be no rest for me until I catch the guy who tried to steal my trail camera. What a low life! Don't think B&C has a category for pinheads or will allow that for an entry so I guess I may have to post it here to warn others of such a heartless b**tard that's in the woods.

Otherwise, geting a buddy of mine his first animal.

I;m going to try for a "big" moose this year. All the mose I've shot have been good eating but smaller caliber rack. ANd I've got a grizz draw, so hopefully that will happen as I've applied for 15 years for grizz and got 2 LEH only...

And I'd love to hunt elk with Bartlel this year. DOn't really care if I get an elk, but it will be fun.

And I've finally got pics of a big blacktail that I want to chase. He lives a bit south of Whistler, so I'm going to be driving a bit in the dark this November!:-D

At least I can hunt the mornings and then head back up the highway to work afterwards and it is in cell range, so I can clal in late if I nail him! :)

Never really have a single target.

X2. Yes, there a few I'd REALLY like to see, some again, some new.
This year won't be all that much different in the Ongoing Quest.
Whether it be a Great Stone, Blacktail, Moose, Goat, Sheep, Grizz or Whitetail, I will haunt them all. And although I'll be packin' the paper for each, and wandering where more than a few die of old age, the only time I Focus on "is That this year's #1 for me" is when we dance. Certainly hope to drop the hammer on some Grits. Be nice to see a Biggie or two, and of course will be leaning that way. But also as usual the real "trophy" is simply in the doin'...

Cheers & Good Luck this coming season Folks!

Hopefully my first out of province hunt for myself. Going to try for a goat and watch my buddy shoot a 40" ram.Just waiting for our application results.

Then its back to Alberta to hunt bighorns. Hoping to get my wife her first ram.
Ill hunt some whitetails and will probably shoot another 150" as I seem to be stuck on that number for the last few years.
Then going to film some cougar hunts.
Baiting some wolves near home and maybe calling a few in this year I hope.
That should be my fall unless drawn for Waterton elk for Jan. and Feb.

Blacktail.

Been scouting an area past few years but always had a full freezer by Nov, so hadn't seriously tried to follow through. Next year I plan a move away from the coast so a hard earned blacktail is all I want from 2010.
