a lightning storm went through a hour ago and we have a fire around 3 miles away!!! so far there are 3 planes circling but now water yet.. i drove to where the smoke was and the fire is close to a big progress gas plant!!! hope she don't go up!!!!!!!!!! will up date again soon!!

I know the feeling - I was at work last summer when we were evac'd and didn't even get to go home. Hope your place is ok, but in the end, if everybody is ok, that's what really matters. Hang in there - hope they get it out soon.

well we are still here and the winds have switched to the south thank god ...so we are still on alert ...but things have slowed down, the planes only have a hour left to fly so hopefully tonight the wind dose not pick up....or switch to the east.. cheers Jamie

Yep Fire season is upon us. One of our fields up the 73 rd just went up in smoke this afternoon. Thinking lightning. Buddy had to call it in and they sent a bird dog in right away and then a bomber followed soon after. Risk of thunder showers throughout the night.
