i got a moose draw in area 3-40 in october 1-31 never hunted this area any pointers and places to stay

October 1 is great time to hunt MU 3-40 the moose rut is on.

Bounded on the east by Wells Gray Park and on the west by the Yellowhead Highway 5, this area is accessible mainly by Raft River logging roads. Fair to good moose, fair muley's and loads of Black bear, occasional grizzly. (check leh and reg's.) Also access in behind the Avola Motel ...
Moose are predominant between the Clearwater area and Blue River area.
You got what appears to be a dynamite moose leh valid tag in MU 3-40, use it and enjoy it.
Check the Avola Motel and other motels in Clearwater or take a camper or tent along. Or sleep in truck.
