I just found out that i have gotten a moose draw in 5-15A for october 15-30 and was wondering if anyone is willing to help out a newbie moose hunter with a little of their knowledge about the area? Good places to camp good places to hunt etc.....

Go in at the start of the season as if you dont you will be up to your---- in snow, try Wartig Lake area

thanks .330 i would have never thought there would be that much snow at that time of year but i guess i am wrong lol maybe i should buy some snow shoes lol

I had tried to go in in Oct last year and the road wasnt doable, your in the mountains in there

Wow I hope thats not the case cause im really looking forward to going there im planning to be there maybe a couple of days before maybe like on the 13th of october.

Should be okay then but towards the end of Oct it is quite possible to get dumped on

I got 5-15B Across the lake sept10-30! Boat access. I don't know the area well either but I am guessing it's thick with moose! Oct. should be the rut eh? lot's a bullwinkles trottin around jacknappin up there. choosin which one is the hard part.

both zones have moose..zone B..has TONS....and easier to hunt but poorer access..

Man by the way you guys are talking its making me happy and anxious to go out there and start scouting lol :-D:-D:-D:-D. Im just a little worried about the snow conditions in october and about camping spots to be able to park my trailer. :?:confused:
