Last week I get a call from my friends dad, my friend had been hit by a car the last day he was in Norway. He ended up with a broken neck which required plates and screws to help stablize the spine. Well that was lousey news. I was able to contact him this past sunday and cheer him up with some hound talk. This fellow has ran a few bears with me in the past and was really looking forward catching a few more on his return home. I told him I would email some photos of this seasons successful trees and some pictures of his remote land he owns. Little did I know I would start a track that night from his cabin. Purely accidental, I had let the hounds down for a pee break while I took some photos of his land. The next thing I hear was a long locating boo-hoo from my black and tan. The race is a quick 2 miles with only one short bayup in the middle. I couple photos and a quick walk out and I had some good pictures to share with my friend. Surprising how much he appreciated the fact that I caught and photographed a bear for him as he lay in the hospital half way around the world just glad to alive and able to walk. Here is a couple photos from that evening.
