View Full Version : June 6th bear
Found this old boy wandering a logging road on the weekend, a quick stalk and a shot from my .300 and he dropped in his tracks! Thank goodness, he was a heavy one!

Nice going, his coat looks like it's in great shape. Good thing for a cool spring, most bears this time last spring were rubbed but good.
Nice goin!

great pics and bear thanks
Nice Bear, congrats, you makin a rug???
I was planning on getting a shoulder mount done, but I wasnt thinking and spilt the rib cage/hide. So I don't know if it'll be doable now. It measured 6'2ish. Haven't measured the skull, but the head is huge!

The taxi can sew it together and you'll be hard presses to tell you cut it!

Looks like he has a dandy coat on him ,well done congrats http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon14.gif.
the hide was perfect, there wasn't any rub marks at all, and his face wasn't even scared up. Hopefully it can be sewn, it would be a shame to waste it.
