Taxi did a great job by the looks of it. Nice barrel neck and preserved the look he probably gave you before you took him - the "make my day" look.
Wish there was more red in the antler as in the field pic.

I have seen and taken my share of dinks. He was the largest thing that I have ever seen.

It was the last full day of our November long week end hunt, and yet we have not seen anything to re stock our freezer with. The day started at first light in our warm and comfortable cabin - we have taken the easy route for our November long week end hunt and rented a cabin in our favorite west Kootenay area. My son, Derek P, and myself wake up and eagerly get ready to hit the day hard. My son is excited to get up get his clothes together and his snacks for the day. He brings his Nintendo DS on the trip but he leaves it at the cabin, he said he doesn't need it he is hunting with us. He jumps in the truck and eagerly awaits the day to begin. On more than one occasion he has spotted our quarry from the side window of the truck.

After about 45 min off the main road I spot a small clearing. "Hey stop here" I say. I see only the top off the clearing, "I want to take a look over the edge". As I step out of the truck I load my trusty 270 - it has never let me down - if I point at it and pull the trigger it drops. What else do you want a gun to do? As I move to the edge I see him Holy crap - is that an elk - no of course not but all I could see is junk on his head. I saw more than 4 and he was a shooter. I motion to my buddy to come quickly and I get set asap. All I have is a neck shot. but then I notice more deer -they are everywhere a 3 pointer 2 pointer and spikes and does. I get set again on my buck, he has not moved, still only a neck shot oh well I'm not going to risk him taking off. I take a breathe, breath out, and squeeze one off - the 270 sends the 130 grain Noslar Partition down field and immediately drops it's target. I 'm in shock did that really happen, his he down or did he take off, I can't see him, I had to hit him, I just knew I did. I quickly ran down the clearing but I can't see him crap did I miss. I then start a more strategic plan, walking up the block and down at about 20 yards apart. Then I see him holy Crap he his huge I can't believe it. My hunting partner goes over holy **** he says "is that what you saw, No wonder you shot before I saw him". Luckily he was only 20 yards from another road below us, drove the truck around and dragged him down the hill right in the back of the truck.

But yet, we were not done we both had White tail tags and we had a great feeling. Well long story short about 4 hours after we have my mulie we also have a 4 pointer white tail. Now we are done.

Thats about as good a mulie as a guy can ask for, looks like an old boy, love the mass through-out.
