Hi I am thinking of trying a shooting rest, something along the lines of the Caldwell leadsled. Wondering if anyone has some experience to help me make a selection. thanks

Lead sleds work goo, so do the tripod front with bunny ear rear bag...

Lead sleds are great, I have several big-bores and off the bench you appreciate the sled for sighting in etc. However one should practice with hunting scenerio positions, prone, sitting ,kneeling etc.

You might want to look at www.titerest.com (http://www.titerest.com) they are way heavier duty than the lead sleds and you dont need to bring lead bags with you. I ordered the magnum version and it is 44lbs. Also compared to the price of the lead sled it is slightly more but twice the rest in my opinion

I have the Lead Sled DFT, works great even without the bags.
