Well after three years i finally got my first bear, not huge but im happy with it. Moms getting it rugged for the cabin and im gettin sausage and smokeys made.We drove up to my moms property at chimney lake on friday after work, went out saturday morning and sighted in the 308 and then hunted hard all day without seing a single bear. We finally spotted this one at about 8 45 at 500 yards, i snuck within 200 and boom! Bear only went about 20 yards and was down. The shot went through the middle of the heart one lung and the liver.

congrats on the bear, and i agree with the others awsome skinning job. it can be hard to do, especially learning, but it can sure make or break the size for a rug.

Its nice when you can kill two birds with one stone meaning that your mom gets the rug and you get the meat .

Congrats on your first bear http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon14.gif..
