I went into 7-23 today for a grizz draw in 7-23E, and found 7-23 C and D, but no E. Does anyone know where to get into 7-23E, approximately what km marker? Another way of finding zone E is by finding Arctic and Pacific Lakes. Apparently you can see one of the lakes from a cutblock, but there was no such luck for us. I appreciate any help

What were you looking for? There are sign markers for some of the MU's but the actual boundaries are geographical features!!7-23E runs along the height of land to the south of the Missinka river. It is a mountain top ridge. The southern boundary of 7-23E is the height of land, or mountain top ridge to the south of the Parsnip River as I see it. The access is pretty good last I was out there, which was 2 weeks ago. You want the 700 rd east of Winton Globals Bear lake sawmill, and you will follow the 700 rd to around 756, where there is a junction of the 700 and the 1200 rd. Stay on the 700 rd and as soon as you cross the bridge I believe you are in 7-23E. If you cross the Parsnip River, every time you are on the south side of it you are in 7-16. So watch for the crossings. There are lots of cuts along the north side of the valley mostly facing south and west, so it should be good. Take a quad as all the block roads are deactivated, and it is a tough ride in places so doubling on the quads is not recommended, as me how I know!!!! PM me for more info if you would like.

in the middle of the map you see a junction with a road heading north east and on headed south east ish? yours is the one heading south east ish. the white squiggly line to the right is the Parsnip rv. Stay on the road for C, and D and turn off to the right for E, its a ways in there.

E is everything to the right of center on this map I believe

Thanks for the help Brett and Moosin. Now that we know where we are going, hopefully we can get a nice grizzly next weekend.

I was in there last week. We didn't see any grizz. Lots of wolves and a few black bears. Saw the guide everyday. He said he hadn't seen a single grizz and they were on day 10 of thier hunt. I was in 7 23 D. nice little camp spot right on the parsnip just to the left of the bridge on your way in. Roads were pretty good. good luck

Nope, not a thing...we were in there as the weather turned for the worse so nothing seemed to be moving.

i was talking to a fellow i know the other day and apparently right around the 40km on the 700 the guide dropped an 8'4" grizz right on the road. I seen a cow and new born calf, and 4 bears while we were in there, but that is it. next weekend we are taking the quads as long as there is no restriction on them, which i still gotta check, and then head up some of the roads the 4x4 can't. fingers are crossed, and wood has been knocked on

Isnt that pretty much right where his camp is located? That would be nice and convenient :)

Ya, his camp is off a side road to the left as you come out...theres a TINY sign there, so its hard to notice....but its right around the 40km mark.

Sure you can, along with about 500 other atv hunters that love 7-23:mrgreen:....best advice, look for a less popular zone......
