Harrison on the weekend

Thinking about going for a quick bear hunt around Harrison Lake this weekend. I've been there before on May long for camping and know everyone and their dogs will be out in full force. However I've never hunt there so anyone got any experience in that area? Too crowded? road problems deeper up the lake?

There'll probably be roadblocks, so don't bring any booze and have all your documents with you. If you're heading to the East side, the crowds will dissapate a little after the second logging camp.
Do yourself a favour and go further away from the city.

Don't leave your car unattended on the main road. My Festiva got shot up like an Iraqi checkpoint last May long weekend when I left it overnight. Since I only paid $350 for it I just took whatever I wanted out of it and left it. It isn't there anymore so somebody must have salvaged it.

There are also going to be roadblocks on the west and east side of stave this weekend, They will be using ATVs, bikes and their other vehicles. Harrison will be a gong show. Hard to get away from the idiots unless you have gate keys.

Stay Away from Harrison bro. Just a drunk fest, kids rally'n cars, drivin like idiots, prolly quite a few police up there, and so one. Good weekend for can collecting, thats for sure. HA HA. May long at harrison should be avoided.

Good one. Maybe I should have changed the first "g" to a "b", that would probably be a better description.

I think it will be very hard to get to something from the LM for a day trip this weekend without running into a lot of people. Maybe someone can PM you something?

Ahhh Yes, was waiting for that one Big Banger!:-D. The consensus is a Harrison+May Long=Gong/b Show. The bears will probably be scare of the Yahooos too.

dont even think about hunting there this weekend! I might go up to party for a couple of nights. Dont bring anything you are afraid of wrecking. Its going to be a gong show. If you like gong, see you up there. Its alright to be a red neck. Just dont plan to hunt.

I would certainly avoid Harrison or the Squamish river valley this weekend if you are just trying to get out of the city.
