Came across this doe skeleton on my elk hunt in region 8 last fall.Couldnt help but think poor bugger what a way to go. On the third day of our hunt my dad called out my first bull for me not a monster but he made my book.

I saw that happen to an eland. The young ones jump but dont get the back feet over, the rear feet dont make it over the top and they then slide down in front of the 2nd string.

Nice elk. Any bull elk is a keeper in my books.. As for that deer, its a shame. I've seen that over the years. Mostly along the highway from Princeton to Midway. Coyotes get to clean them up.

Beauty elk bro. One for the books for sure. Too bad about the doe though, always a rougher death.

I almost got my head kicked in a few years ago cutting a cow elk out of a wire fence out by Wasa.Spotted her on my way to work and I had my wire cutters so I gave it a try.She came out OK but she wasn`t very gratefull.

That is the reason why 5 strand fences should be outlawed
