Not the picture you expect to see of a redbone coonhound, but she is with me on most of my hunts as a companion. She is 5 years old and I taught her not to chase when she was a pup. She will still tree a bear if I tell her to "GET THE BEAR" but other than that she is pretty good. She still vibrates when something breaks out in front of us, but she stays really quiet and sticks with me. She is great in the mountains with a light pack (8-10 lbs). Her short hair makes her think she should sleep in the tent or even the bag. Thats what I get for taking a house dog to the mountains. Hounds are a bit of a challenge as a pack dog ,but over all She has been great.

Just got a Black & Tan a couple months ago, she's only 4 months old... She is very smart, and quick to learn...

Her tracking instincts seem to be kicking in now....

Anyone got any suggestions for training techniques or somewhere I can find info on doing so?
