Hi guys, just signed up, love the sight. I have two tags for grizzly 5-15 D, going in a week, I would like any info on spots to try, have 4x4's, quads and outiftters tent, I guess I should try low-down first?
Thanks, D.

This will sound redundant, but glass the south facing slides and slopes...thats your best bet anywhere

Wow....this post makes me wish I lived in BC!!!

If I drew a grizz tag I would be so damn pumped and would probably take 2 weeks off to try and kill myself a bear!

JEALOUS!

Head to the old burn and sit next to the landing strip. Look north. He'll be there!

Oldman,
Good luck with the hunt to you and your party. I might know them.
I think what you meant to say was that there are 2 grizzly tags in your group as the bag limit is 1 per person.
I will be canoeing in Bowron Lakes end of the month so that will be 1 grizzly less thinking he can rob our camp. It is important that g bears have some fear of humans so they know they are not the top of the food chain. Thank you.

Now thats a positive attitude toward hunting...except they are the top of the food chain..LOL

I have heard that the snow level is still around 4000ft in that neck of the woods so the slides may still have snow in them try the lowwer elevation logging slashes that have greened up and dont go near 5-15c that spot is mine

My son had a Grizz draw 3 years ago just east of Bowron campsite. We saw a family of local Grizzlies near the last bridge before the camp. There was one huge ass male adult in the group, but alas, it was out of our zone. Never bloody fails.

Lots of Grizzlies in there but if I recall, we went up end of May and most of the snow was gone. You may hit snow now.

As other hunters here have said, glass anything that has green grass and south facing slopes. Think of the angle of the sun and where it would green up first.

Best of luck, joke is compulsory upon your return. Hope you bag one

We were too early for grizz last year with the late spring. Got skunked. Planned the trip two weeks later this year with a may 24 departure. We will keep you posted

O4 Dodge 1500, kind of sand colored, with a canopy the same color. We will be sleepinhg in a wall tent. We are probably going to camp at the same lake we did last year. It kind of borders 7-38 and 7-28 which is convenient as we have a tag in each area.

If I see you I'll say hi and please do the same. We have probably see each other around Williams Lake if you are in Lac Lahache.
