Saw my 1st goslings of the year this morning.
A pair of Canada's and 5 babies, foraging above a local gravel pit.
Several families nest here each year. Near the end of July I have seen them marching all their flightless young down the middle of a well travelled road. They are heading for Somenoe's Lake, holding up traffic all the way.
I hope there is many more to come!!
Cheers, Field Marshal.
