My Brothers First Bear Video/Pictures

So my brother is moving down to southern alberta for summer work at the end of the week so we didn't have much time to hunt, lots to do around home still. So we figured he should not be picky and take the first legal bear he could otherwise he might not get one at all.


So after driving around all day and seeing only deer and grouse we decided to come home for dinner than go out for the last couple hours of daylight. The areas we had spent most of the day at had not greened up very much and we had seen nothing for sign.


So at dinner I thought about it and wee headed into an area we hadn't been to yet, but I thought would be the greenest spot around, turns out it was a good decision. My brother was able to bag his first ever bear, a young boar. :-D

I gotta say that videoing is a lot harder than I thought. I got so excited after the shot I completely forgot about the camera and watched the events unfold with my eyes instead of the lens:oops: Next in line for a bear is my girlfriend and I promise her video will be much better :mrgreen:

Doesn't look like a cub to me. Looks like a nice healthy young boar as stated in the original post. He seems pretty happy with it for his first bear. Probably be very good eating.
