Dewdney FSR conditions

Hello to all,

I'm thinking of going up in the Coq. in a couple of weeks, looking for black bears.

How are the road conditions in Dewdney FSR?

I will be using a normal family car; will it do? Any other FSR/logging roads in the area you recommend for vehicles with limited off road capabilities?

Dewdney is blocked IIRC at around 8km east of the Coq. Maybe a quad will get in there, but that's it. If your wanting to use a car and not even a 2wd truck I'd think you need to go further north as the roads up there are an easier go.

I live in the area and the gate was put in a place that makes it very hard to get around.I heard Davis is the next access road that is getting a gate.

I have been a member of the volunteer fire dept in this area for the last six years and it still amazes me on how many peaople go off the road and get hert.

The garbage that get dump on these fsr is pretty sad.
