elk just dropping racks??

brother just found 2 fresh elk sheds, still had fresh blood on the bases, seems late to be dropping?? all though we did have a real mild winter and beautiful warm spring here up in PG??


Think they will move much from where they shedded??

saw four bulls on the halfway yesterday one had one antler the other three still had both

I just saw 3 bulls north of Campbell River on Saturday and all three were still packin'. They were medium 4-5 pointers crossing the road, so no pictures.

Ive seen small raghorn bulls pack as late as early May. Few days ago I saw a spike. This year they've dropped fairly early in my area. I think every year is different.

nope not late at all for the EK,, lots of bulls still packing, seen 3 bulls now in the last week that have had velvet and one was already 2 points,, going to be huge that bull.
Lots have dropped and lots are packing, right on schedule.
every year when turkey scouting run into lots of big bulls with antlers.

Yup, late April, early May for elk in the EK. They sure put it on quick once they start.

While turkey hunting, just saw 6 bulls all with tennis balls growing from their heads, their sheds wernt to far away either!
Looks like they are down in the south!
