Has anyone hunted Adams Lake by boat? We were poking around there last fall looking for some new hunting spots, and the thought hit to perhaps try a hunt right off the lake via boat. We would be looking for WT and mule deer....the moose and elk hunting we do else where. Has anyone tried this lake for a hunt?

It's probably a good idea as there are lots of areas on the lake only accessible by boat...it's also got more than its fair share of reserve land on the lakeshore, so just make sure you don't end up in one of those areas...not sure how the hunting is, but I bet if you look at a map, find a place with no close road access, beach and start looking, you will score.

Pretty sure that there is a lot of private property around the lake, although there is still a a lot of crown land as will. The lake is pretty much fully surrounded by road....not sure how many places that it would be so far between road and lake that a good bush hunt wouldn't fix. If you do boat around the lake it would be nice to have a Moose tag ready.....even if you like to hunt them eles where!!!

Adams Lake southern part of Mu 3-37 reached via logging road from south end of lake which runs part way up the east side ( check for local bridge updates).
The same applies to the western side.
Also access from Louis Creek, Barriere and Vavenby on North Thompson, Hwy 5.
Pretty good mule deer hunting on ridges in southern part of 3-37; occasional moose on either side of lake.
Don't be shy because the area is rich in flora and fauna
Always check BC Hunting Reg's and apply here for LEH ..
Try Cayenne Creek on east side of Adams north end go to and ........
....> can try access up from Momich Lake Provincial Park into the light and outta the dark..park and look
Honeymoon Bay Rec site ( west side) southern half
or Sandy Point Rec Site (west side) southern half
east side ( Cottonwood Point ) across from Skwaam Bay.
One last good spot to boat too is the pictographs @ Tshinakin Point east side half way up
Jelvis that should keep you busier than a one armed paper hanger

the mle deer hunting is pretty good but the whitetails are pretty scarse. and like 308win. said the lake is pretty much surounded by road. The southeast corner of the lake is probably your best bet for deer hunting around lee creek fsr
