Well i sent mine in yesterday so here we go again i did mine in BLACK ballpoint pen another of my superstitions is i have to mail them away the same day i buy them.

I couriered mine the day before deadline a couple years ago, and still won a draw. Cutting it a little too close.

I can do no worse than last year. I have not had a draw since I wrote to LEH, saying they should change to the point system like Alberta. Got a 3 page answer back on how wrong the point system is and not a draw since. Hmmmmmm, I know only a coincidence but i have to blame something. OH WELL, maybe this is my year. Could be worse, I've been trying 5 species a year for around 10 years and still haven't won. The only thing I get to do is help my Dad out when he wins. By helping, I have to do all the dirty work, but at least I get out there a bit.
The stupid part is, I still think I might win every year?? WTF am I thinking!!

I want to know what guys are putting in for and not getting anything for 20+ years????? maybe try applying for a hunt with 0-1 odds just to see if your numbers working haha.

I've had my liscence for 6 years and the only NIL i've ever got was this spring for a grizzly hunt. All of the draws I put in for in the past are less than 4or5 to 1 odds. If I remember correctly I've had 4 shared moose draws, 5 doe draws, and 2 antlerless elk draws.

4x moose
3x goat
1x roosevelt elk
1x MD deer
2x WT deer

The wife has drawn
2x moose
1x goat
4x wt deer
1x M deer

So as far as I am concerned the system is working just fine.

island elk every year, which ever area i know best, don't bother with the odds too much, it'll happen one year and when it does, i'll know exactly where to go.

and hopefully shared moose when some gets drawn

Not to hyjack the thread but does anyone know where I could get a hard copy of the leh regs in surrey, I have tried both wal- mart in surrey both are out. They both said they only recieved a box of the the hardcopies and have requested more.

in the last 3 years i've gotten 2 mulie doe tags thats it. they had low odds also. my dad has been putting in for mulie doe with 10-1 or so odds. hasn't had a tag since 1992. Yes thats right 18 years!! Maybe this year is his year to get something although he's been saying that for the last few seasons now

How is it a 'lottery' if your last years 'win' decreases your odds this year? We have had one successful draw out of 8 so far.

I always get draw. You should study and compare to last years synopsis so the odds make sense. Try putting in for areas with lower odds and you wil extend you hunting season. Or try shared hunts for moose. I get drawn for goat every year at 0.4-1 odds! and I never see anyone else in there.

The only ones that seem to bitch about our system are the suckers who put in for these 5:1 plus odds...... WAKE UP people those are terrible odds!!!!!! 3:1 is even bad odds.



Im at about a 90% success rate for the last few years. Just have to apply for the 1:1 odd tags and youll win every time. just have to put a few km's on the truck but hey we only live once. no point bitching about not getting drawn when all it takes is a bit of gas.............

Lotterys aren't fair plain and simple, but there are things you can do to increase your chances for a draw, even if they are not your ideal area of species.

The people who are getting so little are not playing correctly :mrgreen:

i havent done to well with the draws but it seems every other year i get something like the time i was looking at the regs & seen sheep draws in the okanogan & thought id try BINGO got 1st try ive talked to people that have been putting in their for ever & were quit mad when i told them i only applied onecs & got the tag what a great hunt that was

Come on guys the draw system is not that bad it a bonus.We live in a province were you can hunt all year with out a draw suck it up if you dont get a doe draw hunt bucks if you dont get a roosevelt hunt 6 point bulls you guys complain like women for draws ive had grizzly goats mule white tail caribou moose i usually get one leh a year i apply for low odds and if i dont get a draw i hunt the gos if you dont like it move to alberta where most people think the draw system is alot better

its all about the odds, 4 of us put in spring grizz draws up north 3 years in a row and all 4 got it each year same draw. its obv all luck but the low odds help, way better chance. i hope this year is a good year for my leh. Last year i got the BIG nil but im still pumped out of my mind about hunting season in the fall and cant wait draw or not

My hunting partners wife...has put in for bull moose 7-10 the last four years....

She got the draw for three of the four years. 3 for 4 not bad with enhanced odds and everything else she is slammin' the LEH draws. And rubbin' my nose in it as I've gotten one cow and one bull draw in 30 years......LEH sucks the big one!!!! Unless your lucky!!!:-D

People should really stop whining about the draw system, we all have a choice of where we live and hunt and if you dont like it you can always up and move. HAHA I heard alberta's really nice for the 2 months there's no snow :wink:
