Anyone hunted around there for moose?

Any negative issues? Access? Too busy? Active logging? First Nations?

The moose around there taste bad and there are not to many..........dont go...haha

Are you talking about phillips lakes in the omineca? If so then yeah, lots of Moose. Never hunted there unfortunately. Spent a lot of time working out there 8-10 years ago. Big area out there on the west side of williston so I can't imagine it bieng too crowded. Phillips isn't that far of a drive in though.

Philip (sp) Lakes start at about 56km on the North Philips Road and continue till about 60 km.Good campsite at 56. Mt Milligan at the start of 70km is opening up the new mine soon so expect lots of construction traffic and the Rainbow Forest Service road now joins the Ft St James access road at about 90km. Wasn't much logging in the past few years but some sawmills in Mackenzie have started up so expect to see traffic as a result of that and perhaps from the mine site clearing.Have seen 1 native there in about 25 years.
