I have a 3-9 leupold vari X2 . When i shoulder it on 3 to 5 I can find the sight easy. But when it is higher it takes a second to find . Is this normal?

Thats because the eye relief changes with the different power settings. Try moving the scope back if you have room with your mounts. If you do move it back, watch your eyebrow until you get used to it!

Eye relief changing and field of view narrowing. Both make it a tad harder to acquire the target.
