Thanks guys!! I'll give you a quick tell of what happened as I'm currently crunching for finals.

After not hunting all of September and October I had a few days to head home (from Kelowna doing the school thing, to Cranbrook) for a few days to kick back and hunt. After hearing how my dad had such bad luck all season and there was no snow and it was warm out it had me a little worried but it would be nice to get out nonetheless. Luckily the second morning I was home there was a wicked cold snap so I headed out close to home for a walk in the woods. Sure enough right after daylight I spotted this guy with a few does, and being the first time hunting by myself I looked at him an extra few times to make sure he was legal. Got down on one knee and the rest is history!!
