I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any places in the okanagan to go turkey hunting. this is going to be my first turkey hunt, and the kootnays are a tad to far for a 2 day hunt. your help would be greatly appreciated.

Leaving it till the last minute eh. You do know the season opens tomorrow right haha? Just kidding but I would have researched it a bit before now. I've heard a few guys say they've seen turkey around but I wouldn't be any use in recommending an area around here. I've got a spot I go and I'll be there very, VERY early tomorrow morning :).

8-14 and 8-15 are your best bets if you're going to stick it out in Region 8.

MU 8-14 Christian Valley Road between KM 15 to 25.
Saw two big flocks last year in spring (More than 50 in each). Too bad it was private property, and saw nice toms last fall around the same area, but no GOS in fall.
