CloverPhil and I went up the West Harrison to see if we could find any bear sign this past Saturday. No luck with that but we enjoyed a sunny warm day and area scenery in its spectacular spleandor.

Here is a shot of Phil looking pretty stealth on top of a mossy rockface.

And one of a deer rub from last fall.

Hopefully we will be able to find the maker this year!

Harrison usually doesn't turn on to the first to the middle of May. You have to get in there early in the day before the partyers and moto-cross bikes to have a chance though.

How did the new slashes look? Snow? That was pretty rough in there last year after the logging was done.

Got my first black bear on Apr 16 on west harrison. On Sunday i saw beatiful cinnimon on Harrison east. Many deer along the way - can't wait till fall. Evenings seem to be best time! Good Luck
