Went for a sunday drive and came across this fella and a cow. Surprised to see he was still packing head gear:shock:

I surprised that the elk not shed its antlers yet.

Not surprising to see them packin considering the how late the deer packed this year.

Couple buddies saw a two-point moose on Wednesday that was still packing...now that was surprising!

10 years of doing carry over counts in the EK. Mule deer lose their antlers around Feb 14th and, Elk don't normally drop until late April.

Ya we've come across a herd a number of years in a row now while Turkey hunting in the spring and all the small guys are usually still packing.
