Big Blacks..

Talking about big black bears here is a pic of a big black that was shot by one of my elk hunting partners 6 years ago ,this black was taken about 1k from my elk camp in the EK cranbrook area.

Notice the with of it this bear the ceiling is an 8 foot height..

Wow that is a huge bear rug Wayne.

By the looks of the mount above the bear the deer in Cranbrook are tiny!!! You may have to come back to the Island to hunt deer Wayne. Even the Island deer are bigger than that:mrgreen:.

This bear was wieghed on a farmers scal and field dressed it whent 403 pounds..

That is a elk head mount showes you how big this black bear is compared to the elk mount LOL..

Yes it is I did not want him to take it because we where into a big 6x7 bull elk but I give him the OK to take it when I saw the size of it ,thats what hunting partners are all about ,you sacrifice one for the other at times when you have to..

That is a very respectable bear in any book. It would take a huge elk on the line to pass that one up.

I never asked how long it was and I guess I will never know unless I ask him.

I think he said it was just short of 8 feet..
