Sorry if this is a dumb question but im new to the game. If I take a mulie in Region 8 for example (thus cutting my tag) am I able to purchase a second tag and harvest in a different Region?? If so is it poor etiquette to do so if your area has two bordering regions. (Region 8 and Region 3 for example) Sorry if its a dumb question but just wondering.

Provincially you are allowed 3 deer so just follow the local regions bag limit and regulations and if you travel to another region you can take more deer as long as you do not exceed 3 total. (excluding Queen Charlotte Islands)

No such thing as a dumb question!!! The answer to your question is YES. Your provincial bag limit is 3. So get a another tag and fill the rest of the freezer!!

It's not poor etiquette, it's common sense.

Make sure to keep an eye on bag limits, with the new southern interior mule deer management strategy in place, and significant changes to white tailed deer management, the bag limits are apt to change for this fall.

You can shoot a mule deer in one region but you will have to shoot the second one in different regions..

On the island your allowed 2 deer in most regions for the hunting season..

You have to read the deer limits for each region...you could shoot a mule deer buck in 7a and then shoot a mule deer doe in 7a later in the season.

Then hunt for whitetails too, so you could Potentially end up with 2 mulies and 2 whities! But always check yer synopsis for bag limits in individual regions! Moosin

Wrong!!! You are only allowed 3 deer in the province (excluding the Queen Charlotts).

So you could potentially shoot 3 mule deer does in the province (region 6 bow season, Region 3 doe LEH, and region 7 regular season). Or you could shoot three whittail does (numerous ways and regions. Or a combination of whities and mulies and bucks and does but only 3.

Canuck S Correct as for Vancuver island you can shoot two deer in one region and then go shoot a mule deer on the main land 3 deer allowed http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon12.gif..

Yes you can take only 3 deer total for the province. They could come from same or different regions (as long as you stay under each region's bag limit) and be any combination of WT or mulie/BT, antlered or antlerless, but the total # must be 3 or less (except for QCI of course).

One possible point of confusion is the fact that the regs say you may possess up to 6 species licenses (3 each WT and mulie/BT). But you may only cut 3 of those 6 tags.

No etiquette problems either - fill your boots (and your freezer) :D

wow no disrespect here but if you passed the hunter program I'm quite suprised you dont have that all figured out reading and understanding the regs is a huge part of passing the CORE program!?!?
