does anyone know if there is good camping spots up there, i know the map book does show one spot near the road. looking for ideas for next october. any input would be appreciated

There are no animals around there, but if you do find one they will not taste good......I swear.

There is a forest service camp site at Georges Lake, 6 sites i think. About 58 k on the Phillip north. Many other spots that have been used in the area for camps.
If you are going and they are working , harvesting and hauling logs don't go without a radio!
If your going moose hunting there are way better spots, i USED to hunt in there alot.
